Antonio Gates biography

Antonio Gates (born June 18, 1980) is an American football tight end for the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League. He was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2003 after playing college basketball at Kent State University. He attended college in junior and senior year at Kent State University, after working briefly at Michigan State University and Eastern Michigan University . He played at Central High School (Detroit, Mich.) football.After played basketball and basketball his senior season of high school, Mr. Gates has been named a finalist for Mr. Basketball of Michigan allocation of Dane Fife.  Initially, Gates enrolled at the University of Michigan to play football under then-coach Nick Saban and basketball, under the direction of Tom Izzo record, but Saban wanted to play only football.  Gates then chose to continue playing basketball by transferring to Eastern Michigan University to play basketball.

He played part of one season and played in two junior college and then played two seasons at Kent State University in Ohio, northeast.
