Lake Powell
Lake Powell is the tank is the Colorado River, straddling the border between Utah and Arizona (most of the Rainbow Bridge together, and Utah). And 'the second-largest artificial reservoir in the United States behind Lake Mead, recording 24.322 million acre feet (30 cubic kilometers) of water when full. Lake Powell, Glen Canyon flood created a controversial Glen Canyon Dam, which also led to the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, a popular summer destination. The tank is named after explorer John Wesley Powell, one-armed Civil War veteran, who has studied the river via three wooden boats in 1869.
