Mary Tyler Moore (born December 29, 1936) is an American actor, best known for his roles in sitcoms on television. Moore is best known for the Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970-1977), where she played the role of Mary Richards, a 30-something simple that has worked as a producer of local news in Minneapolis, and his former role of Laura Petrie (Dick Van Dyke woman) on the exposure of Dick Van Dyke (1961-1966). She also appeared in several films, including 1980's Ordinary People, where she played a role, it was the opposite of television characters, she portrays, and for which she was nominated for an Oscar Best Actress. Moore was also active in charity work and various political causes, including issues concerning animal rights, and diabetes mellitus type 1 Mary Tyler Moore has had health problems of diabetes that begins in the 1960s and alcohol, who were treated in the 1980s.

In May 2011 Moore was elective brain surgery to remove a benign meningioma.
