Reno is the county seat of Washoe County, Nevada, USA. The city has a population of about 220 500 and is the most populous city in the metropolitan area outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. It is located on a desert valley at the foot of the Sierra Nevada.

Reno, known as the largest city in the small world, is famous for its casinos and home entertainment is the game company Harrah. Residents of the city is called Renoites. Reno is bordered on the east by the city of Sparks. The Reno-Sparks metropolitan area is known informally as the Truckee Meadows, and consists of approximately 400,000 inhabitants.
