Scarlett Johansson (born November 22, 1984) is an American actress and singer. Johansson made her film debut in 1994 in North cinema and was later nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Actress for her performance in 1996 Manny & Lo. Johansson rose to fame with her roles in The Horse Whisperer in 1998 and 2001 Ghost World.

His transition to adult roles with his performances in Girl with a Pearl Earring and Lost in Translation by Sofia Coppola, which won a BAFTA award, and the two films earned him nominations for Golden Globe Award in 2003. A role in a love song for Bobby Long earned him a Golden Globe nomination as best actress in a third.
