Wanda Sykes biography

Wanda Sykes (born March 7, 1964) is an American writer, comedian, actor and artist voice. 1999 he received an Emmy Award for his writing, Chris Rock Show. In 2004, Entertainment Weekly has named Skyes one of the 25 funniest people in America.  He is known for her role as Barbara Baran, The New Adventures of Old Christine, and his appearances on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm. In November 2009, Wanda Sykes Show, just late night talk show, premiered at Fox, the fan on Saturday night. , which was completed in April 2010.

Sykes also had a successful film career, appearing in Monster-in-Law, My Super Ex-Girlfriend, Evan Almighty and License to Wed, expressed in and covered Bear, Age of poultry, Brother 2, Rio de Janeiro, and ice: continental drift .

Sykes was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, and raised in the Washington, DC. His father served as a colonel in the U.S. Army used by the Pentagon, and his mother worked as a banker. She attended Arundel High School  in Gambrills, Maryland, and graduated from Hampton University , where he earned a degree in marketing. After college, his first job was as a contracting officer of the National Security Agency (NSA), where he worked for five years .
